Crisp, sweet flavor with a hint of tartness. Excellent to eat fresh, use in salad, sauces, cider and pies. Skin is a beautiful red stripping over golden skin tone. Gala apples that are allowed to reach the peak of their sweetness on the tree will a da deeper red hue and a slightly sweeter flavor. Long harvest time.
Self-sterile. Pollinator not required, but would produce a larger crop if planted with same variety. Can be pollinated with other varieties such as Granny smith, Fuji, Yellow Delicious, Winesap, McIntosh, Pink Lady, Honey Crisp or Red delicious.
