Produces large yields. 

Crisp, sweet flavor with a hint of tartness. Excellent to eat fresh, use in salad, sauces, apple butter, canning, cider and pies. Bright red skin with juicy white flesh. Freezes well and has long storage life.  

Jonathon apple trees originate from New York in the late 1700's.

Self-sterile. Pollinator not required, but would produce a larger crop if planted with same variety. Can be pollinated with other varieties such as Yellow Delicious or Red delicious.
